Special Format: La Ronde (w/ Kirsten Rasmussen)
Special Format: La Ronde (w/ Kirsten Rasmussen)
Description: Learn one of the most enjoyable styles of longform improv! La Ronde is a format that emphasizes creating bold characters and playing with story structure. Created in the 90s by Chicago improv legend Craig Cackowski, La Ronde is now one of the most popular and enduring forms in improv. In addition to the joy of playing, students will learn how to deepen their character performances, improve their two-person scenework, and better understand how to tell compelling multi-scene stories through improv.
Goal: To learn and experiment with the La Ronde form; including best approaches to character performance, producing compelling scenes, and structuring engaging longform stories.
