Description: Are you looking to broaden your improv skillset? To take your scenework to the next level? If so, this special class offer is an opportunity to learn from one of Canada’s most esteemed comedy performers how to enrich your performances through bigger offers.
In this workshop, Ron Pederson will guide students through focused scene diagnostics, provide individual suggestion, and lead exercises designed to expand the possibilities within scenes.
Goal: To facilitate students’ personal growth as improvisors through advanced exercises and focused scenework.
Prerequisite: Improv Foundation 4 or equivalent
Class Size: 10 people max.
Duration: 6 weeks. 12 hours total

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
Ron Pederson is an award-winning actor, improvisor, writer, and director with a long career in television, theatre, and live comedy. In addition to his recent work with The Second City Mainstage, his theatre credits include productions with The Stratford Festival, Soulpepper, Tarragon Theatre, Coal Mine Theatre, CanStage, RMTC, Alberta Theatre Projects, Arts Club Theatre, Vancouver Playhouse, Theatre Passe Murielle, The Belfry, and The Citadel Theatre. As an improvisor, Ron co-founded the powerhouse improv troupe The National Theatre Of The World, has had a long association with RapidFire Theatre in Edmonton, and has collaborated with companies across Canada, the U.S., and Europe. His television credits include three seasons with MadTV (Fox), The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson (CBS), Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), and Degrassi (CTV). Ron is the recipient of multiple Canadian Comedy Awards (including Best Improvisor), Dora Awards, the Summerworks Performance Award, and the RBC Arts Professional Award. He is a proud member of the Metis Nation of Alberta.
