ABOUT THIS PANEL:
This info session is all about the single best opportunity for live performers to level up: Self-Producing, Fringe Festivals, and Touring! Meet comedy superstars (and touring Fringe veterans) Kaitlin Morrow and Chris Wilson to learn about the Canadian festival and touring circuit and what it can do for you! Learn how to create, organize, budget, market, publicize, and promote your own work! Learn tips, tricks, and best practices from our panel of experts so that YOU (yes, you!) can take advantage of what the North American Fringe Circuit has to offer!
Session will include time for Q&A and participants will receive a document of relevant workshop content.
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
Kaitlin Morrow is an award-winning actor, writer, improvisor, puppeteer, and creator of great stuff. They are best known for their work with comedy juggernaut Sex T-Rex, with whom Kaitlin has created several acclaimed touring productions. Sex T-Rex’s distinctive shows have sold out theatres across the country and have won numerous festival awards, including: Montreal Fringe’s Just For Laughs Award (Best Comedy), Toronto Fringe’s Second City Award (Best Comedy), Vancouver Fringe’s B.C. Touring Council Award, and Halifax Fringe’s Best Of The Fest, Audience Choice, and Best Comedy awards. Sex T-Rex has also branched into filmed work having won Audience Choice at the Filmpalooza Short Film Festival (Paris) and Insight Production’s Pilot Week competition. Kaitlin is also a resident artist with Bad Dog as co-presenter of Blockbuster Week and the monthly show D&D Live.
Chris Wilson is an actor, writer, and sketch comedy giant. His work in television includes Royal Canadian Air Farce (CBC), The Beaverton (CTV Comedy), and This Hour Has 22 Minutes (CBC). He’s also written sketches for College Humor and The Irrelevant Show (CBC Radio). His live comedy includes a loooooooooong tenure with The Second City Mainstage and his acclaimed sketch duo Peter N’ Chris. With comedy partner Peter Carlone, Chris was a prominent figure on the Fringe festival and comedy festival circuits - including several Best Of The Fest recognitions on the Fringe circuit.

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:
Are you an improvisor that loves to sing? Or an improvisor that hates to sing but wants to build your skill set? Or even just a person curious about how improvisors create funny songs spontaneously?
If so, come to Bad Dog’s Musical Improv Workshop! Work with an experienced music director for this one time workshop to strengthen your overall skills and learn the fundamentals of this unique form.
NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
WHO IS IT FOR?
This workshop is intended for anyone looking to try musical improv and learn some introductory fundamentals. It’s most appropriate for beginners to musical improv and those relatively new to it.
For those with prior training and performance level experience in musical improv, stay tuned for the fall - when we will offer workshops for those seeking intermediate and advanced level training.
