Advanced Improv Format: JTS Brown (w/ Daphney Joseph)
Description: Learn one of the most unique formats in longform improv! Created in the 90s by the Chicago-based troupe of the same name, the JTS Brown bends the “rules” of longform improv in a way that promotes richness and theatricality. Learn a new approach to editing, staging, recurring scenes, and the philosophy of play behind this form as conceived by Mick Napier, Jack MacBrayer, Ike Barenholtz, Jason Sudeikis, and the other members of the original JTS Brown Ensemble.
Goal: To learn and experiment with the JTS Brown approach to editing, transformational transitions, recurring scenes, and controlled chaos.
