ACTING IN IMPROV W/ HANNAH SPEAR
ACTING IN IMPROV W/ HANNAH SPEAR
Description: Do you feel you’ve plateaued as an improviser, falling back on the same character all the time? Do you only play a version of yourself and want to experiment with a wider range of emotions and characterizations? Does silence in scenes make you uneasy? Are you an improviser who wants to flex your *puts on black turtleneck* ACTING CHOPS? If you answered YES to any of the above, then this workshop sampler may be for you!
In this workshop, we’ll work through exercises that deepen your emotional range, get you more comfortable taking risks with silence and spaciousness in scenes, and ultimately practice taking yourself seriously on stage.
Goal: To help improvisors incorporate traditional acting fundamentals into their toolkit to broaden their toolkit and benefit their performances.
Prerequisite: Improv Foundation 3 or equivalent.
Class Size: 10 people max
