Audition slots are available on Sat Jun 21 and Sun Jun 22 @ Bad Dog Studios - 392 Spadina Ave. The auditions are for the upcoming Harold Studio Program. Please read below for more information.

ON THE AUDITIONS & PROGRAM:
Students may audition even if they are not available or interested in the specific corresponding programs.

But those who are auditioning for consideration in the Harold Studio Program should be prepared for the a 3-Level (approx. 6 months) Studio Series commitment. Classes will start in Term 4 2025 (Jul-Aug), continue into Term 5 2025 (Sep-Oct), and finish in Term 6 2025 (Nov-Dec) - with the same ensemble and director. Each term consists of around 21 hours of class time plus 2 additional performances in front of an audience ($325+HST per term). There will also be graduation shows in December (dates TBD).

HAROLD STUDIO ENSEMBLE

Level 1: July 8 - August 19 (7 Weeks)
Level 2: September 9 - October 21 (7 Weeks)
Level 3: November 4 - December 16 (7 Weeks)

$325+HST per term

About The Director:
Alex Tindal is a Dora-award winning and Canadian Comedy Award-nominated actor, writer, director, and improvisor. His acting credits include the award-winning series Bit Playas (CBC Gem), The Beaverton (CTV Comedy), Space Riders (CTV), Amazing Gayl Pile (CBC Gem), and Baroness Von Sketch Show (CBC/IFC) - for which he also served as a writer for several seasons. His work in theatre include creating and co-creating works with Buddies In Bad Times’ Rhubarb Festival, VideoFag, and Factory Theatre. As a live comedian, Alex has featured at improv and sketch comedy festivals across North America and has won The Best Of The Fest Award at both the Toronto and Montreal Sketch Comedy Festivals. He’s been performing and directing longform improv since forever.

Program Description: is focused on “The Harold” form - the most notable and challenging of the classic longform styles. This class will focus on building groupmind, exploring gameplay tools, deconstructing theme, and understanding the ins and outs of the Harold to create excellent improvised works.
