Improv For Actors (w/ Kirsten Rasmussen)
Improv For Actors (w/ Kirsten Rasmussen)
Description: Few skills are more valuable for a working actor than the ability to improvise. Whether in prep, rehearsal, with auditioning, or for the performance itself - being able to work beyond the script (or without a script at all) is essential for an actor to maximize their potential. In this class, actors will learn practical improvisation skills they can use to be better scene partners, collaborators, auditioners, and overall creative performers.
Goal: To help actors strengthen their skillsets with practical, fundamental improv techniques they can use to improve their scripted and un-scripted performances.
Prerequisite: Intended for students with professional acting experience and/or professional-level acting training (ie degree or diploma programs in performing arts or a similar amount of accumulated training). No prior improv experience is required.
Class Size: 10 people max.
Duration: 4 x 2.5 hour weekly classes.
