What:  Improv camp for youths in grades 9-12. Learn how to play in Toronto's longest running improv show, Theatresports. Hone your improv skills, build your team, and above all have fun and be silly with it!

Designed for students with some improv experience.

When: Monday, March 12, 2018, to Friday, March 16, 2018, | 9am-4pm Daily

Student Performance: Friday, March 16, 2018, | 5 pm | Friends & Family are welcome

Where: The Bad Dog Comedy Theatre, 875 Bloor St W

**Optional post-camp aftercare where we play board games, watch movies in the theatre between 4-5pm is available for an additional charge. Please email Jenn,, for more information.**

Teen Theatre Sports Training Camp

Camp for grades 9-12 | March 12th-16th

Think fast on your feet, follow your impulse, and work as a team as you learn the ins and outs of Toronto's longest running improv show, Theatresports! Campers will learn skills to help unlock creativity, boost confidence, and push their improv to the next level.

Watch it all come together in a performance at the end of the week as part of Bad Dog Theatre's  The Dog Bowl Tournament.


This camp hopes to plan an outdoor winter activity, such as Ice Skating, Sledding etc. please let us know of any health concerns. We will confirm the activity closer to camp start date.

Please see our general camp break down. This is the schedule we will be following throughout the week.

  • 9:00am – 12:00pm
    • Warm up/teambuilding games
    • Morning break
    • Improv workshop focusing on a number of different skills (accepting, listening, impulse, collaboration, storytelling, character, yes and..., teamwork, supporting etc.) 
  • 12:00 – 1:00pm
    • Lunch
    • Please note: kids bring their own snacks and lunch – no nuts, please!
  • 1:00 – 4:00pm
    • More improv!
    • Afternoon break
    • Skill development activities
  • 4:00 – 5:00pm
    • Optional post-camp aftercare where we play board games, watch movies in the theatre. 

On the last day of camp, we throw a pizza party for the campers and host a showcase which friends and family are invited to join.

We ask that all campers are dressed in comfortable clothing that is easy to move in (we get very active!) and have a comfortable pair of shoes (no open toe or sandals) Water bottles are also great to have so campers can stay hydrated.
