Winter Youth & Teen Classes
Bad Dog Theatre's Youth and Teen classes are some of our most popular offerings. Taught by our Youth Academy Instructors over seven weeks, your kids will learn the in's and out's of performing improv, while honing in on important life skills as well!
Youth Performance Ensemble
YOUTH GRADES 4-6 | Sundays 10:00 AM-12:00 PM | Mar. 24th-May 12th (No class Easter weekend April 21st)
YOUTH GRADES 7-9 | Saturdays 10:00 AM-12:00 PM | Mar. 23rd-May 11th (No class Easter weekend April 20th)
Behind every great improv scene is a strong ensemble with interesting characters. Refresh your skills and build an ensemble with 11 other eager and experienced teen improvisors. In these two sessions youths (grades 5-8) will build on their previous improv skills and develop a group mind that will take your scenes to the next level. Students will also be learning how to develop rich, interesting characters that drives the scenes forward in a whole new exciting way.
Students get to show off their prowess at the end of the term at a fun Showcase that is open to friends and family.
Teen Performance Ensemble
Grades 10-12 | Mondays 4:30-6:30 PM, March 18th-May 6th*** (7 weeks)
Behind every great improv show is a strong ensemble. Refresh your skills and build an ensemble with other teens eager to flex their skills on stage. In this session teens (Grade 10-12) will develop a group mind that will take your scenes to the next level.
Think fast on your feet, follow your impulse, and work in harmony with your ensemble to create performances audiences will be convinced they were pre-written.
Students taking part in the TPE get to show off their prowess in two performance opportunities.

End Of Term Performance: Saturday, May 11th at 1 PM at Bad Dog Theatre
Youth March Break Camp
Grades 6-8 | Monday March 11th-Friday March 15th, 9 AM to 4:30 PM (5 days)
Learn the ins and outs of improv while playing fun improv games (like Whose Line is it Anyway?) that help unlock creativity, increase confidence and develop campers impulses & sense of play. Campers get to show off their prowess at the end of the week at a fun Showcase.
The camp is designed for all levels – no experience is needed!
Performance: Friday, March 15th at 5 PM at Bad Dog Theatre
Youth March Break Camp
Grades 9-12 | Tuesday, March 12th, 10 AM-5 PM (1 day)
Collaborate, listen and learn! The teen campers will spend the day sharpening their skills and learning a unique Bad Dog signature format.
The camp is designed for campers with some prior improv experience.
