Bad Dog Theatre Company is proud to welcome the third instalment of director Becky Johnson’s Wayward to its stage this spring.
As always Wayward conjures up dark comedic moments between its all-female cast. Past series locations include a Catholic girl's school (Wayward), a summer camp (Camp Wayward). This April director Becky Johnson brings the series to its most mysterious location yet, reviving its signature, dark comedic style and reuniting an all star cast of Toronto’s top improvisers.
"For me, the Wayward series of improvised serials is about the myriad dynamics between women. It is also about a phenomenal cast of local improvisers filtering all these dynamics through their singular comedic lenses.” - Becky Johnson
Toronto audiences will recognize the cast of Cult Wayward as they reunite in this unusual setting. A mix of veteran comedic power houses such as Carolyn Taylor (writer This Hour Has 22 Minutes), Lisa Merchant (Train 48, Monkey Toast), and Christy Bruce (the SOAPS!, Blind Date) with rising stars Evany Rosen (Get Some), Ashley Comeau (The Board), Jess Bryson (TO, I Love You), and Alessandra Vite (The Sketchersons).
