Geography is an important part of indigenous storytelling and incidentally a wonderful teaching tool for improvised storytelling. This workshop takes lessons learned from Elders and Storytellers and transposes them into an improv context by using personal storytelling and physicality to paint scenes and deepen the meaning of your work. Here we will be focusing on the narratives of your own relationship to geography and how you can use that in your scenes. It should be noted that Todd Houseman is a Cree Mixed-blood but not a knowledge keeper or Elder.

Experience level: intermediate to advanced

Instructor: Todd Houseman of Rapidfire Theatre
