What is it? This workshop will be focusing on the art of acting, character, stagecraft and performance techniques. Stillness, purpose, intention and riveting acting collide with the abandon of instant theatre. An exciting opportunity for any improviser wanting to make more stylish, fearless choices and artful improvisation. 

Instructor: Ron Pederson

Ron is an award winning actor and improviser as well as a director and teacher He's appeared across Canada with theatres including; The Stratford Festival, Soulpepper Theatre, The Tarragon Theatre, The Canadian Stage Company, Arts Club Theatre, Vancouver Playhouse, Theatre Passè Murille, Theatre Network, ATP, The Citadel, The Free Will Shakespeare Festival, RMTC and the SummerWorks Festival. He has directed for Teatro La Quindicina, 1000 Islands Playhouse, NTOW and The Theatre Department. Ron has created and improvised with companies in Oslo, Berlin, Amsterdam, Vienna Los Angeles, Chicago and at the Magnet and Barrow Street Theatres in NYC. TV credits include 3 seasons on MADtv (Fox) The Late late Show (CBS) Murdoch Mysteries, Insecurity (CBC), Degrassi (CTV), and SideKick (YTV). Ron is the recipient of multiple Canadian Comedy Awards, including Best Improviser. He has won an Elizabeth Sterling Haynes The  Award, RBC Arts Professional Award. He's also been nominated for Vancouver's Jessie RIchardson Award and he's a two time nominee for Toronto's Dora Award (Best Actor). Ron has taught Theatre and improv around the world and with Rapid Fire Theatre, Dad's Garage Theatre and The Second City.

When: Sundays 2:30-5pm |  January 14th - March 11th (no class February 18 Family Day)

Duration: 2.5hrs/week for 8 weeks

Price: $250 (+HST)

Who is this lab for? Intermediate to advanced improvisers with previous improv experience.
